I also enjoyed the fact that Gardner actually has some of the top rated "online" mattresses to try out physically. I also think it is smart that they are getting custom tailored mattresses made to their specifications. I think that is and will continue to be critical to the survival of any brick and mortar store. In the end, we felt that the information we were given and the physical experience of the custom made mattress was exactly what we were looking for in a mattress. Yes, it was not the cheaper option, but a good quality mattress is one place in life that you should not cut corners on. I would say that it only comes second in importance to the quality of tires you put on your car. If you have not paid the extra money for a quality mattress, you really should reassess your priorities in life. At 9:15am today I received a call from the delivery men saying that they would be at my house in about a half hour. They arrived at 9:45 took out the old mattress, brought the new mattress in and unpacked it, explained how it would decompress and when it could be made and slept on, and were out by 10:00am. Thank you Ben for reading the comments and moving me back into the very happy customer category!!! I once again highly recommend Gardner's Mattress & More. REVIEW UPDATE: As stated below the buying experience was great. Delivery experience is unacceptable in my opinion. I was VERY UPFRONT when I purchased the mattress that I needed a morning delivery because I am not available between 2-3:15 every weekday. Had to wait 3 weeks for delivery so could have a morning delivery. Received message this morning delivery will be Wednesday between 1-2PM. I called the store and talked to Andy. They use a computer generated delivery schedule and so they can't input requested time frames and can not change delivery time frames once the schedule is generated. I can reschedule for next week but there are no guarantees that I will get mornings then it is up to the computer. Had I known this I would have gone elsewhere to purchase the mattress. IF DELIVERY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU GO TO ANOTHER DEALER DON'T BUY AT GARDNER'S. Talked to Drew on phone Friday. Went to store Saturday morning. Very knowledgeable and very respectful. No pressure sales.
